The COVID-19 pandemic have gotten most of us feeling very overwhelmed due to break news all the time ,changes at work ,restricted movements not to mention having to constantly take care of our family and ourselves .It’s in this case we find it important to share with you this self-care tips since it might take a while for all this to be over but we have to constantly take good care of ourselves in the midst of it all.

We acknowledge it is very normal to feel stressed ,overwhelmed or uncertain during times like this . We are likely to experience emotions such as anxiety, fear, anger and sadness. We could also become victims of feeling very helpless, maybe  discouraged and a times  even out of control. We might also experience Physical strains such as  headaches ,tension, fatigue and even insomnia .

Taking care of yourself is essential  so we  are equipping you with this self-care tips to help you & the people you love  get by .

Physical health:

  • Equip your body with a healthy diet and drink plenty of water or fluids .
  • Get a minimum of seven to eight hours of sleep every night.
  • Exercise Daily or stretch often .
  • Avoid  excessive alcohol or drug abuse .
  • Take a walk outside once in a while but follow the social distancing guidelines.
  • Wash or sanitize your hands Regularly
  • Keep your mask on in public places

Mental health

  • Focus only on the things you can control.
  • Use your phone /technology to socialize with your friends and family.
  • Maintain an attitude of gratitude .
  • Listen to your favorite music or read your favorite book.
  • Once in a while stay away from media and all the news updates.
  • Lean on God and your personal faith for support .
  • Engage on a favorable hobby especially if you can do it at home
  • Learn something you have always wanted to learn and focus on it .
